We are looking for an experienced Product Manager with expertise in defining and implementing strategies to help us deliver a high-quality e-mobility API product of the future. In Europe alone, about 30 million EVs will buy billions of charging sessions per year by 2030, and Plugsurfing is the leading platform serving this growing charging market. This is a unique opportunity to become part of the next-generation cloud-based IoT product already managing millions of charging sessions each year.

About the role
We believe that API products are the future of our SaaS platform and are critical in providing a world-class user experience for EV drivers. The ideal candidate has a product mindset and hands-on experience in working with API products on a cloud platform to deliver superior quality and scalability.
Your role

  • Part of the product team and who manages the Plugsurfing developer platform product.

  • Responsible and accountable for the technical architecture of the API product.

  • Responsible for understanding the needs of our partners and providing API services so that they can provide a great user experience on their products.

  • Improve customer satisfaction by providing excellent support to customers who need help using our APIs. 

  • Optimise the developer experience, by making it simple and intuitive for our technical partners to work with our API products.

  • Responsible for all the product and technical communication with partners.

  • Ensure we have monitoring in place to provide transparency in terms of pricing, billing, data usage rates, SLAs, uptime etc.

  • Design the APIs with security and compliance in mind.

  • Define SLAs for partners and ensure the requirements for downstream services.

  • Ensure the API documentation is well structured and up to date.

  • Manage the roadmap of APIs, make sure it is aligned with other product teams and review it with stakeholders regularly.

  • Research other platforms and competitors to stay up to date.

  • Manage and improve the agile processes in the team.

  • Evangelise iterative approach to develop the product

  • A data-driven approach to help in improving development processes with other testers, developers, as well as managers

You must be a team player with a can-do attitude which means taking responsibility, working transparently, bringing your own ideas to the table, and getting things done both independently and with your team. 

You are someone who has

  • Great product mindset and can prepare a vision for a successful product

  • Excellent communication skills to interact internally and externally

  • Experience as a developer in a product team

  • Good understanding of event-driven micro-service architecture

  • Knowledge of automated API testing

  • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively

  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
